Welcome and thanks for visiting our campaign website. We’re proud to put forward a different kind of Congressional campaign. It’s a campaign that belongs to all of us — the growing community of people who want to change direction here in the 4th Congressional District.
Our current Congressman, Doc Hastings, has voted with Bush over 90% of the time, giving huge tax breaks to big business and the very wealthy, while average consumers face skyrocketing prices for gas, food and healthcare. Our national debt is at an all-time high of $10 trillion under Bush/Hastings, and we’re mired down in a brutal civil war in Iraq with over 4,000 Americans dead, 30,000 wounded, and a cost of $12 billion each month — that’s $450 million every day. Just in Central Washington our taxpayers’ tab for the Iraq War has reached $3.3 billion.
We simply can’t afford to continue down this same path. Our priorities must change to focus on Main Street, not Wall Street - on common sense solutions to the problems people are facing right now. These challenges are serious, but by working together we can secure a bright future for the 4th Congressional District. Please join us in this crucial fight for change!
